Soule Replaces Fraction On Inhumans

After dropping off Fantastic Four and FF earlier this year to write the All-New Marvel Now book Inhumans, Matt Fraction is now no longer writing the upcoming title. He’s being replaced by Charles Soule with art still coming from Joe Madureira. This is pretty sad news for me, when I saw that Fraction and Madureira were working on a book together I was really excited for it. With all Fraction’s shuffling around I hope this doesn’t end up effecting the always amazing Hawkguy too.

Now on the bright side Charles Soule has been doing great work with Swamp Thing, look at any review on the net and you’ll see that. Superman/Wonder Woman has been improving with each issue too. Things like that definitely bode well for the Inhumans, and hey with art like Joe Mad’s behind him the book has every chance to be awesome.

Marvel hasn’t released any details about what spurred the change, but says we’ll get some details in the near future. So I guess until then we’ve just got the official announcement from Marvel below.

MARVEL ANNOUNCES CHARLES SOULE AS NEW WRITER OF INHUMAN

New York, NY (December 16th, 2013) – Marvel Entertainment is excited to announce the addition of Charles Soule as series writer for INHUMAN beginning with an All-New Marvel NOW! #1.

Beginning this April, Charles will join superstar Joe Madureira (Avenging Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men) to introduce the world to Marvel’s newest super hero franchise. Born out of the events of INFINITY and the blockbuster INHUMANITY #1, INHUMAN will change the landscape — and the fate — of the entire Marvel Universe.

“Years ago, young(er) Charles made up a list of Marvel characters that would be a blast to someday write – my Marvel Dream Team, basically – and the Inhumans were on that list,” says Soule, “So getting an opportunity to work with those awesome, strange, classic characters, as well as to expand the existing mythology into cool new places is pretty extraordinary. INFINITY and INHUMANITY work as amazing springboards to new stories and new characters, and I cannot wait to create them!”

“As soon as I read Charles’ first Thunderbolts script, I knew he was going to be a star,” says Marvel Editor in Chief, Axel Alonso. “His pitch for She-Hulk proved that he thought big and would bring a lot to the world-building of INHUMAN.”

Don’t miss the incredible first issue of INHUMAN this April!
