Metal Gear Rising…rises?

Sorry about that… MGR: Revengance hasn’t been seen since last E3, and before that it was MIA since it’s preceding E3. It’s a game of mystery, and one that changes developers fairly regularly… But it looks good every time we see it!

 

It looks like we have a whole new game with a push in the direction of action as opposed to stealth combat which was shown in previous trailers. MGR looks incredibly over the top, which fits the series, about cloned children and giant living robots, very well. The trailer shows off some story elements, CG, actual gameplay, and grunting. A lot of grunting. Seriously, count how many times you hear Raiden grunt in this thing. It’s gotta be over 50! Also, that sequence where Raiden chops up the helicopter is so cool!
