E3 Release Dates and Trailers

Been following E3? Wondering when that game you thought looked amazing is coming out? Well here’s the place for you! We’ll be updating this as new games and hardware appear this week at E3 and even after the conference we’ll keep you all updated on when this huge titles are going to be hitting store shelves. Oh! We threw in some E3 Trailers and Demos too, so if you really can’t wait for a game you can at least watch the trailer a few thousand times.

All release dates are North American unless otherwise notied

God of War: Ascension – Release Date: March 12, 2013

Who doesn’t love God of War, idiots that’s who. Yeah, it’s just a hack and slash. Yeah, it’s ultra violent. Yeah, you go around killing gods. AND THAT’S FREAKING AWESOME! Once again you’ll be getting to run around slaughtering the agents of some godly foe in the name of vengeance or something. Really, who cares? Did you see Kratos rip that elephant man’s head open and show us his brains like a god damn magic trick?

Beyond: Two Souls – Release Date: Q4??

So Beyond is listed for a Q4 release, some of you are probably going “Awesome, out for Christmas”, but that may not be the case. They didn’t state several important details, such as is it Q4 of this year, or Q4 of their fiscal year. The difference is anywhere from 6 months to just a single month. Their fiscal year’s Fourth Quarter falls between January and March. So the date is still really up in the air, but regardless of that this game looked amazing and I for one cannot wait to get my hands on it!

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal – Release Date: Q3/Q4 2012

The gameplay footage Sony showed off was interesting. It looked very much like Super Smash Bros. This isn’t really a bad thing though. Smash Bros is a huge game that millions of people love to play. Sony is just cashing in on that market and using their own characters. So long as at some point they can get Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon in that shit I’ll be happy. They got the Big Daddies so it’s certainly not going to be only PS exclusive characters so I’ve got a chance!

Watch Dogs – Release Date: TBA (Possibly 2014)

Watch Dogs blew my mind, I didn’t know what was going on. The trailer was trippy and I felt like it could have all been real. The gameplay footage looked great, it had a chaotic GTA/Infamous feel to me. Both of those games are tons of fun and do what they do great.

The Last of Us – Release Date: TBA (Late 2012/Early 2013?)

Naughty Dog has shown us what an action game really is through the Uncharted Games. Looking around at the games shown at E3 this year you’ll notice a lot of them have Uncharted aspects. So what now? Naughty Dog is going in a different direction. No more globe trotting epic Indiana Jones adventures. Now we’re alone, you and a young girl trying to get to safety in a post zombie outbreak world. Zombies aren’t your only problem. Other survivors want your stuff and they’ll kill you for it. This is probably the game I’m most looking forward to and for good reason, just watch the video and you’ll see why.

Assassin’s Creed III – Release Date: October 30, 2012

There was a ton of video for Assassins Creed III, and I’m just going to let it all speak for itself.

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation – Release Date: October 30, 2012

Liberation is the PS Vita Assassins Creed release, you play as a female Assassin for the first time. Like the the main title I’m just going to let the videos do the talking.

Dead Space 3 – Release Date: TBA (2013?)

Co-Op Dead Space. Personally I never got around to the Dead Space games, they looked awesome though and I heard great things about how alone you felt and that it was really a survival horror. Now that they’re bringing in Co-Op gameplay, things are going to change, but it still looks pretty badass.

Splinter Cell Blacklist – Release Date: Spring 2013

Sam Fisher is now in charge and gets to call all the shots. But he doesn’t have a desk job, he’s still out in the field kicking ass. The big disappointment for a lot of fans was Michael Ironside is no longer doing the voice

Resident Evil 6 – Release Date: October 2, 2012

Resident Evil 5 had a lot of people complaining. Personally though, I loved it and Resident Evil 6 is looking even better. This fall is looking to have some great titles coming out!

Star Wars: 1313 – Release Date: Unknown

This looks pretty cool. All we know is it takes place on Coruscant, level 1313, which is the seedy underbelly of the planet. You play a bounty hunter, whose name and mission is unknown. That’s all we know. . . But it looks cool. Check out the short trailers below.

Halo 4 – Release Date: 11/6/12

Well we all know what Halo is, but do we know what it is without developer Bungie at the helm? I must say, this isn’t the first Halo game that had me interested. I thought Reach looked pretty cool but lacked the hardware to give it a chance. It is however the first one that has me considering a new console purchase. Well. . . this and the new Splinter Cell, that is. Anyway, check it out below.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate – Q3 2012

I haven’t played the original Lords of Shadow game, but it did look mighty awesome! Konami announced a console sequel last week, and at E3 we heard about this new gem for the 3DS. It looks like it plays like the older side scrolling games, but with a bit of a twist. While sub weapons and magic still hold relevance, it now looks like our hero can perform combo attacks. It really looks like the God of War combat system successfully transferred into a side scrolling Castlevania. It certainly looks like a good reason to own a 3DS!

Medal of Honor: Warfighter – October 23, 2012

I’m not a big fan of the shooter genre. Primarily because I’m horrible at the multiplayer aspects, which are always the most heavily updated portions of these games. I do still enjoy a nice single player campaign, and even some co-op on occasions. Anyway, while I can’t really say that Medal of Honor: Warfighter looks to add a whole new depth of game play options to the shooter genre, I can say that it looks beautiful! And that’s good enough for some people.

Make sure to check back as E3 continues for more release dates and videos, as well as updates to our current list as more information becomes available
