Friday Five – Theme Music

music

Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week we help you get to know our writers with the help of a top five list. This week’s category: Theme Music!

Not to be confused with one of our previous Friday Fives, Theme Songs. Instead we’re focusing on the music alone. No lyrics! Except for Drootin. He lives dangerously, and doesn’t follow the rules. What a jerk!

What’s awesome about this is that during our wedding, my wife and I picked a bunch of our favorite theme songs for our groomsmen and bridesmaids to walk out to. God I love TV! :p

  1. X-Men (90’s cartoon) – Everything about this song is awesome. As soon as it starts it’s unmistakable as to what you’re hearing. One of my best men walked into this theme.
  2. X-Files – I used to love this show, but stopped watching pretty early on. The music was so iconic that everyone knew it, even if you didn’t watch the show.
  3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer – One of my favorite shows as a kid. Again, I stopped watching pretty early on but I still remember the theme music like I was watching it yesterday!
  4. Doctor Who – I only started watching the show this past year, but I still find myself humming the tune randomly.
  5. The Office – It’s a simple tune that really goes with the absurdity of the show.

is not a boss.
