Friday Five – Fall 2013 New Shows

Agents of Shield promo shot

Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week we help you get to know our writers with the help of a top five list! This week’s category: New TV Shows starting in the Fall of 2013.

Every year we see far too many new TV shows come and go, and this year will be no different. While there are plenty of shows that make you question the executives behind the pilot selection of every studio, there are bound to be a few that seem quite interesting. The craziest aspect of TV is never knowing what’s going to stick, and what’s going to just disappear. Some of our choices are more than likely only going to last a few weeks before being cut, but that doesn’t make the show any less interesting to us. Read on to see what we can’t wait to watch, and then tell us what you’re looking forward to in the comments below!

  1. Low Winter Sun – This already started, but I haven’t started watching it yet. I catch the preview sometimes after Breaking Bad.
  2. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – This looks interesting, but knowing the market I don’t think this will last. Hope I’m wrong.
  3. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
  4. The Michael J Fox Show
  5. Master’s of Sex – I see previews for this every week before Dexter. I’m interested. I like Michael Sheen, he’s a really good actor.

  1. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Seriously, if this isn’t at the top of your own list, there’s something wrong with you! It’s got the brand power to draw in the crowds, and the writing/director to keep at least a cult following. This show is going to be fantastic.
  2. Almost Human – This is one of JJ Abrams many attempts to get picked up this season. It’s your standard cop drama, with Karl Urban starring as a human cop partnered up with an android( Michael Ealy). Seems interesting.
  3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine – I love Andy Samberg, so I’m down with this stupid cop comedy.
  4. The Crazy Ones – Robin Williams on TV once again! And he’s partnered with my childhood crush, Sarah Michelle Gellar. Yep, watching this one.
  5. Once Upon A Time In Wonderland – I feel like this is a cheap answer, since I already watch Once Upon A Time. But it’s a new spin off, and I can’t wait to see how it ties into the story of Storybrooke, or if it even ties in at all.

Honorable MentionSleepy Hollow – Its an odd sort of premise, but it’s one that’s had me intrigued since I hear about it. Definitely going to give this one a shot.
